In 2017, Mozambique has updated the information on the status of 20 stocks from 7 fisheries, of which Penaeus indicus (Sofala Bank and Maputo Bay), Hilsa kelee (Maputo Bay), demersal rock bottom fish (South) and the demersal sandy bottom fish (North) – are considered as overexploited.
