more>> <<less Overview: This fishery is carried out by scuba and free divers, usually over sea grass beds and coral rubble. The majority of the fishing is undertaken from small wooden open fishing boats with an average length of 5 m, with motors ranging from 25 to 40 hp. Each boat usually fishes with a crew of three. Most of the catch is exported or sold locally to restaurants and hotels. (FAO, 2006).
