Overview: A longline fishery also developed on the Reykjanes Ridge in the 1990s, targeting golden redfish (giant redfish) (Sebastes marinus) (Hareide et al., 2001) and tusk (Brosme brosme). This fishery ceased in 1997 and was then resumed in 2005–2006 with one Russian longliner.
