The Database on Port State Measures (Port-Lex) provides access to port state measures (PSM) adopted by states to prevent, deter and eliminate Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated fishing (IUU fishing). Information can be accessed through a simple word search or advanced search using country names or measure components. See the coverage section for more on the search terms.

The main objective of the database is to make information available to policy-makers, national administrations, legal practitioners and civil society members worldwide. By making available "best practices", the database will contribute to national capacity-building toward adoption and implementation of PSM to fight against IUU fishing, and help countries and RFMOs coordinate their efforts when adopting and implementing PSM.
